Four Months Until MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2008

Washington, D.C. — MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2008, the mining industry’s premier exhibition of mining equipment, technology and services, is just four months away and will be held Sept. 22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Sponsored by the National Mining Association (NMA), this year’s event will be the largest show ever held. More than 1,200 exhibitors will be showcased throughout approximately 593,000 square feet of space and will attract some 30,000 visitors from around the world.  MINExpo® will highlight state-of-the-art equipment and services to the international mining community.

Following Monday’s ribbon cutting, industry leaders will participate in a state-of-the industry press conference. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the U.S. Departments of the Interior and Labor will honor U.S. mining operations for outstanding environmental and safety efforts.

Advance registration is highly recommended. Reporters interested in attending MINExpo are urged to register at as soon as possible at: http://www.minexpo.com/mediaregister.shtm. There is no cost to reporters to register, however only fully accredited members of the press will be permitted to register for the show.
