VISA INFORMATION

The U. S. government requires residents of many countries to obtain a temporary visa before entering the U. S. Recent changes to the visa application process likely have increased the amount of time required to obtain a visa. So it is important that you start the process to obtain a visa early. We want to help you as much as possible so that the registration and visa application process do not slow you down.

Here are some helpful hints to get you started:

  • Review the U. S. Department of State web site to note changes that may affect you.
  • Apply early for your visa, a minimum of 90 days in advance of the show. (If you already have a visa, check the expiration date to ensure that it does not expire before the end of the show.) To complete a U. S. Visa Application form (Form DS-0156) online, CLICK HERE
  • Answer all questions specifically and provide all documents requested.
  • Check your passport expiration date to make sure that it is valid through the dates of the show.
  • Register for MINExpo as early as possible and request a Letter of Invitation.

Please note that applicants for visas are personally interviewed at the embassy at which they are applying. To ascertain the average time required to secure an interview appointment, contact the Consular Section of your Embassy.
